One of the legendary names behind the Doom and Quake, American McGee has been making games for almost 30 years.  From doing technical assistance at the scrappy start-up that was id, he moved to being a capo at EA and, then, innovated as a studio head in China.  American has had a wild ride in the industry with many ups and down and he tells us candidly about his career.  A fascinating look at the evolution of game development and an insight into how China plays a key role in the future of gaming.
